What this album means to me personally is only paralleled by the praise it has already received in the many years since its release, coincidentally the same year I was born (1997). Listening to this makes you want to slap your boss in the face, jump out of third story window onto a spaceship, and blast off to the moon, where you watch from a distance as humanity holds on to its greatest hopes and sip white wine.
Raw and refined at the same time. Killer songs, wonderfully blown out tracks, with some good tones in there too. I’ve listened to this about 25 times since its release. Tastes like sipping white wine straight from the bag while smoking two cigarettes at the same time and reading old texts.
Now that I’m almost 30, I understand Wilco and this album rips. Tastes like a joint and sipping white wine on the porch with your buds in the spring breeze.
Phenomenal sound. Ray’s voice together with the band warms you like bourbon-spiked coffee on a snow-fallen morning. Great for making love and sipping white wine late into the evening.
Nice synth sounds, Mac-deMarco-meets-Boys-Age songs with nice melodies. Enjoyable listen, great for a chill evening of cooking salmon and sipping white wine.
