Random Access Memories by Daft Punk
quite possibly the best piece of music of all time. amazing songwriting and some of the most stellar production work i have still ever heard, the mix and master are perfect. i test new speakers and headphones with this album. first cd i ever bought at the ripe age of 12, playing on repeat all summer in both the car and while playing black ops 2.
Crest by Bladee
The worldbuilding and vibe of the album is pretty innocent and yet very dark. Clumsy and yet agile. Bladee is in two places at the same time
Apollo - Atmospheres & Soundtracks by Brian Eno
When you listen to this album with some whimsy in your heart, it will take you to another place fo real
Chuck Person's Eccojams Vol. 1 by Chuck Person
"Angel please don't go. I'll miss you when you're gone... they say" Fav tracks: A2, A6, B1, B2, B7 Least favs: A7, B5
Merveilles by Malice Mizer
This album in tandem with the live performance video is truly one of the crown jewels of visual kei music.
Fantasma by Cornelius
Bro is the best at what he does
Stankonia by OutKast
It went on a bit long for me but some real bangers on here.
Chasing Moving Trains by Roy Blair
the 7 year wait for a proper followup to his last album was sooo long, but given that this is how the album turned out: it was worth it. the worldbuilding these songs provide is outstanding- i can close my eyes and picture detailed environments and city landscapes where these songs take place. the production is also outstanding, just another absolutely smash hit from roy.
