Surrender is a quintessential Jonathan Richman album. So many gems including the title track which is masterful in calling on the greats for advice in love. He also does a wonderful reprise of Egyptian Reggae. "I was dancin' in the lesbian bar" was a staple of the Conan youtube video hits. He reveals the subtlety of "French Style". "Rock-n-roll drummer" is a favorite of me and my drummer friends and loved ones. If you have not heard any Jonathan before, this will be an excellent starter album. Surrender to enjoyment!
