listening to this feels like the album cover, and i don't know what it is. a very visceral and primal experience. the drums are so frantic and the guitar/synth are very entrancing, while the vocals feel like screams of pain. it feels like participating in a strange ritual at the center of an endless void. i haven't felt something this unique and new since i heard black midi's schalagenheim in 2019, really looking forward to what these guys do next. in fact, black midi fundamentally changed local noise rock scenes across america after schlagenheim came out, and i would not be surprised if yhwh nailgun continues that forward thinking torch in the near future. phenomenal live show too btw
